And the winner is…

We are so happy to announce that the winner of our December can drive for City Harvest is Motivate Design! We’ve decided to award a few superlatives too, inspired by the great contributions of all our partners. First, a little more about the drive.

Over the course of two weeks in December, our partners Aptible, Brooklyn Boulders, Casper, Common, Moat, and Motivate Design collected canned goods for our inaugural holiday canned food drive for City Harvest. We applaud all their efforts. Team captains at each company led the charge with emails, announcements, and probably some positive peer pressure, and we even saw Brooklyn Boulders extend the drive to all their visitors, offering discounted day passes in exchange for canned goods. (Thanks, BKB!)

John, Sally, and Sam from the Buster team collect Moat’s donations

To complete the drive in true Buster fashion, we boarded a Buster bus on December 22nd and trekked around Brooklyn and Manhattan, picking up collected food from our partners. At the end of the day, exhausted from can-lifting, we dropped off over 1200 pounds of food at City Harvest, where it will serve many families in need.

We’d say that’s an overwhelming success. We also can’t forget the competitive aspect of this drive: the company that donated the most wins a free Buster trip. It really came down to the wire – and the winner won by less than 50 cans! Thanks to everyone who contributed and helped spread the word – we’ll see you all next year.
